Dashawn is an Illinois native and a first-generation college and law school graduate who is licensed in Illinois. Skilled in all stages of civil litigation, Dashawn is experienced in handling a variety of transactional and litigation matters on behalf of both governmental and corporate clients in state and federal courts. Dashawn's practice includes providing strategic counsel to governmental and business leaders on a range of topics ranging from Tax to labor & employment.
Dashawn is grateful for his personal experiences which he believes make him a more effective Attorney. Currently, Dashawn serves as the Director of Legal Pathways & Law Student Outreach of the Young Lawyers Division of the American Bar Association. Further, Dashawn is the President of the Junior Board of Directors of the Foster & Adoptive Care Coalition of Missouri where in recognition of his commitment to the advancement of child rights, he was awarded the 2024 Tom Cochran Community Service Award from the Missouri Bar Association. Dashawn resides in Peoria, Illinois, where he serves as an Adjunct Professor of Business & the Law, at Bradley University.
