Kevin P. O’Flaherty is the founder and owner of O’Flaherty Law, where he focuses on leading the firm’s growth, operations, and client service strategy. While Kevin is no longer practicing law, he remains actively involved in overseeing the firm’s direction and ensuring that every client receives the level of service the firm was built upon.
Kevin is a graduate of the University of Iowa and Chicago-Kent College of Law. Over the course of his legal career, he handled matters in family law, litigation, estate planning, bankruptcy, real estate, and business representation. He has also been a frequent presenter on estate planning and business law topics.
Kevin has been recognized by Suburban Life as a “Best Under 40” honoree and was named one of the “10 Best Attorneys for Client Satisfaction” by the American Institute of Family Law Attorneys. He has been licensed in Illinois, Iowa, and Indiana, as well as the Northern District of Illinois Federal Court, and has been a member of both the DuPage County Bar Association and the Illinois State Bar Association.

Kevin founded O’Flaherty Law in 2011 with a clear mission: to provide comprehensive, client-focused legal services with transparent communication and cost-effective solutions. Since then, the firm has grown to a team of approximately 20 attorneys and nearly 50 total staff. With a brick-and-mortar presence in Naperville since 2018, the firm continues to expand while staying grounded in its original values.
In addition to building the firm, Kevin has contributed extensively to legal education. He has authored over 1,000 legal articles and produced more than 1,000 informational videos designed to help individuals better understand their legal options.
“I founded O’Flaherty Law with the goal of creating a firm that clients can rely on—not just for legal answers, but for guidance during some of the most important moments in their lives. I’m incredibly proud of our team and the systems we’ve built to support our clients every step of the way. We strive to exceed expectations at every opportunity, and I hope you have a great experience working with our firm.”

What to Expect From a Consultation
The purpose of a consultation is to determine whether our firm is a good fit for your legal needs. Although we often discuss expected results and costs, our attorneys do not give legal advice unless and until you choose to retain us.
